Wounded Lion Breaks Silence On LSUG Suspension, 13-Man Committee

Dear colleagues, 

I find not enough to unfold my feelings on the present state of the Union. The LSUG I rescued from the shackle has now been proscribed again. The union, which because of it that I, and some students were suspended is now under the supervision of 13 man committee. 

I fought many battles and went through so many things just to bring this union back alive. I ensured the union was active and free from captivity. I lost recognition and my studentship all because of the students voice. Yet my sweat and sacrifice could only be compensated with suspension. What a wicked life ! 

Today, I’m the one being treated as bad student. People make mockery of me because of my selfless services and the intuition to make the best out of the union. Those whom because I’m serving this punishment have now even made the union worse because of their selfish interest. 

While as the electoral chairman, I had so many opportunities to enrich myself. But all because of the masses interest, I jettison my own personal interest. I never did anything to mortgage the future of my colleagues. I distanced myself from oppressors all because I want liberation for the school and full recognition for our LSUG. 

I never for once traded my conscience on a plate of jollof rice, neither did I extort money from politicians. I had a very direct link to former governor of Osun state, Governor Aregbesola and the incumbent governor, Oyetola, but never for once met with them let alone allowing anyone of them to use me as pawn. I was focus and determined. I think Leader Alopay is a bear witness. 

I make sure I did everything possible to ensure there was sanity in the school and full regard for the union. I gave LSUG a  good face such that it attracted people like Laurel, Juwon, Parrot and others to contest, and also sip from its productivity. 

Today, these set of people have allowed the union to be proscribed due to their selfish interest. They placed their personal interest above the interest of the masses. They never for once think about the stress, I, and the former speaker, Bosun, went through to bring this union back alive. They have made it worse and even worst because of the N500 thousands and other free for all largesse they received from different politicians. 

They took the advantage of the general elections to enrich themselves by violating the rules and regulation of the school. They knew no one had ever staged campaign rally on campus before, but just to prove a point and to familiarize themselves with the Oyo gov elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde, they broke the protocol knowing-fully well that it’s an aberration. 

Even when the ADC governorship candidate visited Ogbomoso and met with this students union leaders, he never stepped foot in the school. He only arranged a meeting with them somewhere and avoided going into the school. Lanlehin knew it was wrong and didn’t even want to give anybody problem. He gave them money to fill their belly just like Seyi Makinde also did the first day he also met with them in hotel. 

But just because the students union leaders want to make more money, they decided to act funny. They acted the script such that they even gained public sympathy from people after playing on their intelligence. Hmm! 

My crime and those people suspended by the school management is not even up to what these people have done. They are rather celebrated than to be totally condemned. 

They’ve made thousands, half a million during this electioneering period. They’ve satisfied their conscientious display of covetousness. Their greediness has also made the union to be suspended. 

Oh, Governor Oyetola in Osun state must be shaking his head now wherever he’s that this same set of students leaders were those that also collected money from him when he was contesting. The same students are now the one rallying round the Oyo governor elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde. 

*Where’s the integrity ?*

Should these students be celebrated or be given serious public flogging ? 

I put those involve in my suspension and others in the hand of God.
