Eid al-Fitr: Oriire LG boss, Olateju Michael congratulates Muslims on eid, urges residents to celebrate safely and pray for peace
The Chairman, Oriire Local Government, Hon. Michael Olateju has extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslim citizens in a press release today made available to MOUTHPIECE NGR.
He encouraged Oriire residents to reflect on the sacrifices made during Ramadan and continue praying for the state’s peace and development.
Hon. Olateju emphasized the importance of road safety during the celebrations. He urged motorists to strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and prevent accidents.
“While celebrating Eid, let’s keep in mind the Islamic principles of moderation,” Hon. Olateju stated. “Residents should avoid overly joyous celebrations that could lead to reckless behavior.”
He specifically addressed motorcyclists, urging them to avoid dangerous riding practices that have caused injuries and fatalities in past celebrations.
“Law enforcement agencies and traffic officials have been strategically deployed to manage traffic congestion during this festive period,” He concluded.
