VIDEO: Kishi agog as KPU hosts civic reception for Bayo Lawal 

The ancient town of Kishi in Oyo state is currently in a festive mood as Kishi Progressive Union (KPU) hosts a civic reception for one of its renowned sons, Barrister Adebayo Abdul-raheem Lawal, in honor of his recent appointment as Deputy Governor of Oyo State.

Thousands of residents and visitors are already seated at the event’s location, Youmbas Group of School in Kishi, waiting for the program to start. 

The wife of the governor of Oyo state, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, the Iba of Kishi, Engnr. Moshood Aweda Lawal Arowoduye ll, Chief Micheal Koleosho, and all top government officials are expected to attend the event.

Others include the 10 Oke-Ogun monarchs, all of the PDP candidates in Oyo state, party heavyweights, Oke-Ogun stakeholders, and community leaders from all of the state’s zones, including family members and friends. 

Adequate security involving men of the Nigeria Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anti-bomb Unit, Army squad, and Directorate of State Services among others has been put in place.
