Buhari condemns attack on Ubah

President Muhammadu Buhari has called the violent attack on the convoy of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, the senator for Anambra South District, “barbaric and condemnable.”

The president expressed his condemnation in a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by his spokesperson, Malam Garba Shehu.

We are extremely concerned about the operations of armed organizations in the area and in other parts of the country, the statement said.

“We are actively observing the situation and awaiting more information on how the police, the military, and other security authorities are responding to the worrying situation.

The nation has lost four brave policemen and other aides of the Senator.

“On behalf of the government and the people, I pay homage to these security men and the aides who were brutally murdered.”

”Our thoughts and prayers are with their families at this difficult time.”

He prayed for the quick recovery of the Senator and all those that were injured.

Buhari equally prayed for the early return of peace and security in Anambra and all other areas.
