Oyo Reps aspirant, Princess Adedoja mourns Alaafin Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi
An aspirant to Oluyole Federal Constituency under New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Princess Aderonke Adedoja has commiserated with Adeyemi’s family, The Oyo’mesi council, the illustrious sons and daughters of Oyo town on the demise of his Imperial Majesty, Ọba (Dr) Lamidi Olayiwola Adéyemí who joined his ancestors Friday night.
Adedoja, the CEO ARA Foundation, in a statement obtained on Saturday said Kabiesi was a custodian of culture and tradition and an adroit historian during his life time.
She said the First Class Monarch has contributed immensely towards the development and growth of Oyo town and Oyo State in general through his wealth of experience and royal background.
“A true defender of democracy and humanitarian per excellence.”
“The Kabiesi demise is a monumental loss to all Yoruba nation and the vacuum he left will be greatly felt,” the statement read.
