Rousing welcome as Oyo Deputy Gov observes Juma’t service in kishi

.says victory assured for PDP candidates tomorrow

The Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, on Friday, arrived his hometown to a rousing welcome from thousands of party faithful who had long been willing to see him since the 2023 governorship election.

With a positive attitude, the PDP leaders and members were happy to have him in town ahead of the 2024 local government poll slated for Saturday.

Amidst loud ovation from the party supporters and hailers who accompanied him to his ward’s Juma’t service, where he will be voting tomorrow alongside his spouse, Chief Ajibola Lawal, the Deputy governor was specially recognized by the mosque chief imam who highlighted his numerous contributions to the development of Kishi town.

The Chief Imam noted that Oyo state has continued to witness unprecedented development under the current administration praying for Barr. Lawal and his boss, Seyi Makinde, for a successful tenure in office.

Barr. Lawal, who later visited the house of a PDP member who accidentally broke his legs during the 2023 governorship campaign, prayed that everyone will benefit from Omitutun 2.0.

He called on party members to turn out in large numbers and vote for all PDP candidates, saying that the current administration, led by Governor Seyi Makinde, will never hesitate to reward them.

However, while addressing party members at his resident, the Deputy Governor maintained that PDP is fully on ground in Irepo local government, urging kishians not to be intimidated by opposition party as adequate security had already been put in place to protect their interest.

He added, “We know we are winning this election because we have been campaigning and ready for the election. Let no one intimidate you. Go out as early as possible in the morning to cast your votes and return back for celebration. We are fully on ground.”

Those in attendance were former PDP candidate for House of Representatives in 2023 general election, Hon. Hussain Ijabah; PDP chieftain and Member Hajj Commission, Alhaji J.S Amodu; LG Chairman, Joel Oyetunji; Mrs Yeye Adenike; Alhaji Adams; Ajoki Mama; PDP party Chairman, Government functionaries; notable PDP stakeholders, leaders, members and host of others.
