BREAKING: Ondo Deputy Speaker, Iroju joins Ondo South Senatorial race 

Rt Hon. Iroju Ogundeji, Deputy Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly and a Member of Peoples Democratic Party has formally declared his intention to contest the Ondo South Senatorial zone in 2023 general elections. 

Ogundeji who is currently representing the good people of Odigbo Local Government Constituency made the declaration on Wednesday while speaking on Awawa FM.

He said he is joining the Ondo South Senatorial contest with the main aim of purposefully encourage better and more meaningful political participation and bring the change that can have a big impact in the lives of people in the District.

According to him, 2023 provides another opportunity for patriotic Nigerians to make themselves available for service to salvage the country which is faced with many numerous problems. 

“I am passionate about economic empowerment, human security, social services, electricity, utilities,  infrastructure and above all employment generation for our teeming youths.  

“I would like to advance the image of my Senatorial District in these critical areas just to mention but few.”

“Therefore, I am seeking your mandate as distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2022 Party primary and 2023 general election.”

Ogundeji said his core agenda is to focus on the key responsibilities of Legislature which is law making with a firm resolve to attract as many projects as possible to his Senatorial District. 

“As a strategic focus, I would seek to improve access to skill acquisition, Women emancipation and empowerment as well as making myself available to my constituents and the entire Senatorial District for a responsive representation at the Red Chamber in Abuja.”

“After due consultations, I wish to seek your prayers and support in this effort to create positive history and bequeath a prosperous Ondo South Senatorial District,” he conceded.
