Thugs set house of popular APC’s singer on fire in Kano

The house of a Kano based singer, who sang the praises of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Dauda ‘Rarara’ Kahutu, has been set on fire by some unidentified thugs.

A source who witnessed the scenario said the thugs stormed the house and began destroying his property before setting it on fire.

The source added that the police operatives arrived the affected area, dispersed the crowd of people, as they awaited the coming of the firefighters.

The eyewitness said: “All you can hear is sounds of explosions from the house as the fire continues to damage belongings.”

It was learned that the state police have apprehended some suspects who reportedly carried out the vandalisation.

“Thank God they have caught them. These wicked people. Police have caught them. The police will definitely take action on them,” some persons were heard in a now-viral video speaking in the Hausa language.

Recalls that the popular singer was well known for singing the praises of the APC in Kano State.

This came a few hours after the declaration of Abba Yusuf, the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), as the winner of the governorship election in the state.

The spokesperson of the state police didn’t respond to his calls or return his calls when contacted to get information about the incident.
