Explosion occurs near RCCG camp on Lagos-Ibadan highway

An explosion happened on Monday near the Redemption Camp on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The camp belongs to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) led by Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Videos going round on social media show fire blow out from gas loaded on trucks within the premises of a plant.

The affected location is near the Mowe Bus Stop. Residents and passers-by struggled for safety after the first blast.

The spokesperson of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor, has confirmed the incident.

The officials added that emergency responders were on the way to the scene.
