Bandits kidnap another DPO in Kaduna

A Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State ‎has been kidnapped by gunmen suspected to be bandits who were terrorizing the area.

It was gathered that the incident happened early hours on Monday when the suspected criminals invaded the area along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway.

The DPO, who was recently transferred to the area, was reportedly moving to Birnin Gwari to resume duty post‎ when he was kidnapped.

The spokesperson of the police in the state, Mohammed Jalinge, has said that he would revert as soon as he gets details about the incident.

MOUTHPIECE NGR recalls that some four days ago, some bandits kidnapped a DPO in Nasarawa State and requested N5 million ransom.
