Oyo LGSC trains LG Junior staff in Ogbomoso
In conjunction with Venus Innovation Nigeria Limited, the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, on Wednesday commenced a 2-day training workshop for junior staff held at Ogbomoso Town Hall, Oja Gbo Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The two-day training led by member of Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. John Oke Ph.D was organized for junior staff members below level 7 across Ogbomoso zone.
Speaking with Mouthpiece NGR correspondent, Hon. John said the training was in line with the Agenda of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration to build the capacity of the State’s workforce across all tiers.
Oke noted that him and some commission staff oversee the training in Ogbomoso on Work Ethics & Integrity In The Public Service, Effective Communication For Service Delivery, Creating Productive Work Culture and Time Management & Self Management For Productivity.
According to him, Makinde’s administration is very particular about training for people to be aware of their responsibilities and expectations before their performance can be appraised”.
Oke who reiterated that the training is the first in the history of the commission to train junior staff further said the training will make the junior staff of the LGAs/LCDAs to have a growth mindset and to see themselves at par with the mainstream personnel.
“We want the training to show in their deliverables as we expect that they will become partners in progress with the political appointees in order to achieve the goals of their various LGAs/LCDAs”, he stated.
The participants appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde and other members of the commison for this great initiative.
