Oyekunle Hosts Ibadan North PDP/APM Alliance Leaders, Calls for Grassroots Mobilisation
The member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), on Tuesday hosted ward chairmen, women leaders and youth leaders of the PDP/APM Alliance to an interactive luncheon focused on strengthening unity and grassroots mobilisation.
The meeting brought together key party stakeholders from across the 12 wards of Ibadan North, and provided a platform for discussions on party cohesion, grassroots engagement and preparations for the forthcoming general election.
Addressing the leaders, Oyekunle gave an account of his stewardship since assuming office. He highlighted constituency projects, legislative initiatives and empowerment programmes implemented to improve the welfare of residents across Ibadan North.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to people-centred representation, saying his priority remains the delivery of impactful projects and responsive legislation that address the needs and aspirations of his constituents.
Oyekunle applauded the dedication of the ward chairmen, women leaders and youth leaders, describing them as the “engine room” of the PDP/APM Alliance and the driving force behind the party’s strength at the grassroots.
He urged them to deepen engagement with residents in every ward, promote the achievements of the party, and consolidate the alliance through continuous mobilisation and community outreach.
According to him, the success of the coalition will depend on unity, discipline and consistent grassroots participation.
“The forthcoming election will be won through sustained engagement with the people, not last-minute campaigns,” he said.
He called on party faithful to remain steadfast and united in the shared vision of building a stronger and more prosperous Ibadan North, expressing confidence that the alliance would record overwhelming victories through collective effort.
The meeting ended with a renewed resolve by the ward chairmen, women leaders and youth leaders to intensify grassroots mobilisation, strengthen collaboration across all wards, and work to deliver victory for the PDP/APM Alliance in the next general election.
