The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Kolawole Sheu Adedeji, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Alhaji Kazeem Animasaun, a respected community leader and prominent son of Eruwa, Oyo State.
Adedeji, in a condolence message, described Animasaun’s death as a painful loss to his family, the Eruwa Butchers Association and the entire Eruwa community.
The deceased reportedly lost his life in a violent attack at a local farm on Wednesday, while others sustained injuries.
Describing the incident as tragic and devastating, the APM candidate said Animasaun would be remembered for his generosity, peaceful disposition and commitment to the unity and progress of Eruwa.
He noted that the late community leader devoted himself to serving his people and promoting peaceful coexistence, adding that his contributions would remain indelible.
Adedeji called on relevant security agencies to launch an immediate and thorough investigation into the incident and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
He stressed that apprehending the perpetrators was essential to restoring peace and public confidence at a time when residents are mourning.
He extended condolences to the deceased’s family, members of the Eruwa Butchers Association and the people of Eruwa, and prayed for quick recovery of the injured.
“May Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus and give his family and loved ones the strength to bear this devastating loss,” Adedeji prayed.
He added that although Eruwa had lost a respected figure, Animasaun’s legacy of service and peace would continue to be cherished.
