Ex-Oyo Assembly Minority Leader visits Oyo Deputy Gov, thanks Makinde for new appointment 

A former Minority Leader in the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon. Rauf Adekunle, on Thursday, paid a thank-you visit to the office of the Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, to express his gratitude for his support. 

Recall that Governor Seyi Makinde had through the office of his chief of staff, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, announced the appointment of Hon. Adekunle as the Chairman, Oyo State Pension Board.

Adekunle, who was in company of Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Hon. Adeniyi Adebisi, former chairman of the Oyo state Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (OYRUWASSA), Engineer Najeem Omirinde, commended the Deputy Governor for his outstanding leadership and thanked him for his unwavering support of all party members in the Oke-ogun zone. 

He explained that his thank-you visit were to express his gratitude to the Baamofin of Kisiland and to reassure him that he would utilise his position wisely to support Governor Seyi Makinde’s efforts for the sustainable development of Oyo State. 

The Saki-born politician specifically thanked the Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, for counting him worthy of serving in his administration and vowed to never to betray the trust placed in him.

While congratulating him on his appointment, the Deputy Governor charged him to key into the Governor’s vision for the state and discharge his responsibility with due diligence.
