We’re not a threat to you – NSCDC tells police

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has sent message of advice to men of the police force, not to consider the activities of the corps as threat, but rather partnership in progress.

The Jigawa State NSCDC Commandant, Musa Alhaji Mala, made this revelation when he visited the Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Sale Tafida, SHQ office in Dutse.

He revealed that he had visited him in order to strengthen the existing relationship between the two sisters security agencies.

Mala, expressed concern over the unfortunate conflicts that usually happen between police and NSCDC personnel.

“Under my watch, the unfortunate conflicts that usually occur between police and civil defence personnel will not be endured.

“Most of the cases are engineered by junior ranks,” he said.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Sale Tafida, thanked the Commandant for the visit and made a promise to work to ensure peace and security of the state.
