LAUTECH don, Rèmí Awórèmí congratulates Osun gov-elect, Adeleke

A professor at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Rèmí Awórèmí has congratulated Osun State governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke on his victory at Saturday’s election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had last Saturday declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the winner of the Osun governorship election.

According to the Returning Officer for the election and Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, Adeleke got a total of 403,371 votes beating the incumbent, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, who got 375,027 votes in a keenly contested race.

Aworemi in a statement obtained by MOUTHPIECE NGR on Wednesday said Senator Ademola Adeleke overwhelming victory is a historic one as it affirms him as truly the People’s Governor with a genuine heart for service. 

He added that the people of Osun has once again used their power of ballot to elect a governor of their choice.

The statement read: “I, Professor Rèmí Awórèmí Atúraká on behalf of my family and the entire stakeholders and structures of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ejigbo Local Government, have the singular honour to join thousands of Osun citizens both far and near, Nigerians, and people around the world to congratulate our symbol of liberation and the Commander-in-Chief in our democratic struggle to rescue our dear State from the shackles of poverty and mis-governance  typified by the outgoing illegitimate government in power.”

“Congratulations Your Excellency, Senator Ademola Nurudeen  Adeleke on your success at the just concluded Osun Governorship election.”

“Your overwhelming victory in the last Saturday’s election is a historic one as it affirms you as truly the People’s Governor with a genuine heart for service. The people of Osun has once again used their power of ballot to elect a governor of their choice.”

“As you prepare to take over the reign of leadership as the Executive Governor of Osun State, I pray that the Almighty lead you in this journey as you implement your people-focused and development-driven plans and  programmes for the betterment of the citizens and residents of the State”.
