Again, APM Deputy Gov Candidate, Open Salawu Donates N2.1m To Ajaawa Central Mosque
Following his surprise visit to the Alajaawa of Ajaawa Kingdom last Friday, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, has fulfilled his promise to support the ongoing construction of the Ajaawa Central Mosque.
During the visit, Hon. Salawu observed Jumat prayer at the mosque where he noticed the ongoing construction work and pledged to support the project.
In fulfilment of the pledge, his team led by the Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere Assembly candidate, Hon. Ogundare Abideen, alongside the Ogo-Oluwa Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Taiwo Rinde, and the Ogbomoso North Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Rabiu, visited the mosque on Wednesday to make the donation.
The team donated ₦2 million for the mosque construction and an additional ₦100,000 to support women in the mosque community, bringing the total donation to ₦2.1 million.
The gesture reflects Hon. Salawu’s commitment to humanitarian service, religious harmony and community development.
The Muslim community who were so excited however described the donation as a practical expression of goodwill that will aid the completion of the project.
They said: “A promise made, a promise fulfilled. Humanity first. Service above self.”
It should be recalled that the gesture is not the first of its kind by the APM deputy governorship candidate across Ogbomoso zone.
