JUST IN: Court Approves Lai Muhammed As Witness In 2.5 Alleged Fraud Trial

Abuja Federal High Court has granted an application to list former minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, as prosecution witness in a trial of alleged misapplication of N2.5 billion Federal Government Digital Switch-Over (DSO) programme. 

According to reports, Justice Folashade Ogunbanjo-Giwa granted the application on Thursday.
Mouthpiece NG recall the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) had filed the application.
ICPC is prosecuting the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Ishaq Kawu, for alleged abuse of office and money laundering.
Kawu was slammed with a 12-count charge alongside the chairman of Pinnacle Communications Limited, Lucky Omoluwa, and the company’s chief operating officer, Dipo Onifade.
The commission also seeks to call Shuaibu Sabo, a Bureau de Change operator, as witness in the case.
The case was adjourned until October 2 for continuation of hearing.
