Ibadan North Rep, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, Commends Makinde Over Acquisition of Surveillance Aircraft for Oyo Security

The member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as DoN, has commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the acquisition of two surveillance aircraft to strengthen the state’s security architecture.

In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Wale Bodija, Hon. Oyekunle described the development as a proactive and strategic investment that underscores Governor Makinde’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property across Oyo State.

He noted that the deployment of the surveillance aircraft would significantly enhance intelligence gathering, enable prompt response to security threats, and ensure swift intervention by security agencies. This, he said, would further reinforce the state’s security network and create a safer environment for residents.

According to the federal lawmaker, the investment will complement ongoing efforts by security agencies to combat crime and sustain the peaceful atmosphere necessary for economic growth and development in the state.

Hon. Oyekunle also congratulated the newly appointed executives of the Oyo State Allied Peoples Movement, APM, Campaign Council, describing their appointments as well-deserved and a testament to their dedication to the party and the shared vision of building a stronger Oyo State.

He urged the appointees to discharge their responsibilities with commitment, unity, and purpose, expressing confidence that their contributions would strengthen the party’s structure and deepen collaboration in advancing the development of Oyo State.

The Ibadan North lawmaker wished the new campaign council executives a successful and victorious outing ahead of the 2027 general elections.
