Oyo Lawmaker, Hon. Abideen, Confirms Reconciliation With Ogooluwa LG Chairman, Applauds Open Salawu’s Intervention
The member representing Ogooluwa/Surulere State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ogundare Abideen Adeoye, has expressed gratitude to the Deputy Governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, in Oyo State, Engr. Open Salawu, for brokering peace between him and the Chairman of Ogooluwa Local Government, Hon. Ojo Oluwaseun Adesoye.
Speaking on Thursday in an interview with MOUTHPIECE NGR, Hon. Abideen confirmed the development shortly after a high-level reconciliation meeting facilitated by the APM Deputy Governorship candidate at the Ogooluwa Local Government secretariat.
He stated that all contentious issues which had hitherto hindered cooperation between the executive and legislative arms in the local government were addressed and amicably resolved.
The lawmaker further disclosed that the first joint stakeholders’ meeting of the party since the last congress would be convened immediately to harmonize structures and mobilize members at the grassroots.
He described the intervention of the Deputy Governorship candidate as timely, adding that it would strengthen the party and make it more formidable ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Abideen however reaffirmed his loyalty to the leadership of the party in Oyo State and pledged to work collectively to ensure that APM emerges victorious in the 2027 general elections.
He also prayed for the success of the APM governorship ticket of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi and Engr. Open Salawu, as well as other candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections.
