APM guber candidate, Adekanmbi commends Makinde, security agencies over Oriire rescue
The governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde and security agencies for the successful rescue of victims abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of the state.
Adekanmbi described the development as a significant breakthrough in the fight against insecurity, noting that the swift and coordinated response by security operatives demonstrated the government’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents.
In a statement, the APM governorship candidate praised Governor Makinde for providing the necessary support and enabling environment for security agencies to carry out the rescue operation successfully.
He also lauded the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Amotekun Corps, the military and other security agencies involved in the operation, describing their professionalism and dedication as commendable.
Adekanmbi expressed relief over the safe rescue of the victims and extended his sympathy to families who endured the traumatic experience during the period of captivity.
While congratulating the rescued victims and their families, he urged security agencies to sustain ongoing efforts to rid Oyo State of criminal elements and ensure that those responsible for the abduction are apprehended and prosecuted.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting policies and initiatives that would strengthen the state’s security architecture, stressing that the safety of citizens must remain a top priority for every level of government.
Adekanmbi further urged residents to continue supporting security agencies by providing credible and timely information that could assist in preventing criminal activities across the state
