APM Rep Candidate, Akin Fagbemi Donates ₦1m to Ibadan North-West Traders Association at 10th Anniversary

The Allied Peoples Movement, APM, candidate for Ibadan South-West/North-West Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has donated ₦1 million to the Ibadan North-West Traders Association.

Fagbemi made the donation during the association’s 10th Anniversary and Chieftaincy Award Ceremony held at the Ibadan North-West Local Government Secretariat in Onireke, Ibadan, where he attended as Special Guest of Honour.

The APM candidate commended the association for its contributions to commerce and economic development in the LGA, describing traders as critical stakeholders in the growth of the economy.

“Their resilience and commitment to business have continued to sustain many families and communities,” he said.

Fagbemi said the ₦1 million donation was aimed at supporting the association’s activities and encouraging members to remain united in pursuit of collective progress.

He congratulated the leadership and members on the 10-year milestone and urged them to continue promoting peaceful coexistence among traders.

*Pledges Support for Artisans, Small Businesses*

Fagbemi appreciated the honour extended to him and pledged to champion policies that would improve the welfare of artisans, traders and small business owners if elected.

He stressed the need for greater collaboration between elected representatives and grassroots groups to ensure inclusive development across the constituency.

The APM flag bearer also encouraged members to remain law-abiding and to keep contributing to the socio-economic development of Ibadan.

Leaders of the Ibadan North-West Traders Association appreciated Fagbemi for the donation and his participation, describing the gesture as a demonstration of his commitment to traders’ welfare.

The anniversary featured the presentation of chieftaincy awards to distinguished personalities, cultural displays and goodwill messages as the association marked a decade of service to traders in Ibadan North-West.
