PHOTOS: Makinde arrives Anambra over Gov. Soludo’s father’s burial

The Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde, on Saturday, arrived Anambra state for the burial ceremony of late Pa Simeon Soludo (Akukananwa), the father of Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Charles Soludo.

Represented by his deputy, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, the Governor was received by the Deputy Governor of Anambra state, Dr.Onyeka Chukwu Ibezim at the Chinua Achebe Airport,Umueri.

Barr. Lawal was in company of top government functionaries including the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, as well as the Special Assistant on Administration, Alhaji Kunle Sanni.

Recall that Akukananwo died few weeks ago at the age of 92.

While announcing the burial arrangement, the Soludo family noted that in honouring the life and celebrating the immeasurable impact of the Late Nze Soludo, the funeral events will go as follows:

“December 23, 2023, will be lying-in-state from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. in the deceased’s compound.

“Funeral mass follows by 9:00 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Parish, Isuofia, while internment follows by 11:00 a.m. in Pa Soludo’s compound.

“This will be followed by condolence/ reception from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. at the Community Secondary School field, Isuofia.

“On December 24, 2023, the family will conclude the funeral ceremonies with an outing/thanksgiving service by 10:00 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Parish, Isuofia.”
