PHOTOS: First Lagos-Ibadan Container Train Sets Off From Apapa Port

The first container freight train of the Lagos-Ibadan railway, built by #CCECC, has set off from Apapa Port in Lagos, #Nigeria. 

MOUTHPIECE NGR gathered that the freight departed from Apapa Port and carried a total of thirty 40-foot containers, arriving at Ibadan station in just two and a half hours.

The development which was made known via X handle also known as Twitter by a Chinese man, John Zhao and monitored by our correspondent has continued to generate a mixed reactions from netizens.

While some said the freight will save cost and make the roads not congested, some advised the government to mandate all containers to go through train to avoid them falling on the road all the time.
