The Iyaloja General of Oyo state, Princess Folashade Abeo Nurudeen, has described as false and untrue reports by an online blogger to pitch her against His Excellency, Seyi Makinde, saying that no amount of propaganda will truncate her overwhelming support of clusters in the state.
The blogger had on Tuesday falsely alleged that Princess Abeo deployed hoodlums to disrupt a wedding ceremony at Agugu Prayer ground area, Ibadan which was attended by key traditional rulers.
He equally claimed that the monarchs in their torture were questioned reasons behind their decision in support of Governor Makinde’s pronouncement of due process in electing the market council leadership in Oyo State.
Reacting to the development through her media team bureau on Tuesday, the Iyaloja General of Oyo state, Princess Folashade Abeo said that her opponent was more concerned with causing controversy and spreading lies than helping market traders improve their standard of living, particularly in light of the removal of subsidy that had caused an economic downturn.
The Abeo Media Bureau stated that it was not shocked by the blogger’s outburst because he appeared to be traumatised by Princess Abeo’s victory as the legitimate Iyaloja General and would look to find other ways to further his own financial gain by fabricating false information and spreading cheap blackmail to coerce her into giving him money.
According to the team, the blogger is engaging in his typical pathological and cynical flippancy, clearly lacking the constitutive capacity to comprehend the subject matter due to his personal animosity towards Princess Abeo and the traumatic stress caused by his preferred candidate’s admission of defeat to Princess Abeo in the Iyaloja general race.
It should come as no surprise that the blogger’s sole “proof” for drawing such a ludicrous conclusion is to combine Princess Abeo’s photo with a well-known miscreant photo from Abeokuta on Google without conducting any additional research to support his assertions.
“Ordinarily, we wouldn’t have responded to such a falsehood and from a well-known serial liar who gets by on propaganda and cheap blackmail, but we are doing so to protect readers who might be duped by his antics and to further remind the writer, his sponsor, and surrogates that they could face legal action for character assassination.
“For the record, Princess Abeo, the Iyaloja General of Oyo State, has never engaged in online harassment of her opponent, much less sponsored thugs against her opponent or her supporters. In fact, whenever they come across each other at any event, Abeo always pay her opponent the utmost respect, treating her like a mother.
“Even though her opponent’s camp has been attacking her nonstop, especially through her online data boys who feed off of her deception and cheap blackmail, Abeo has never gone so low as to retaliate, react in a crude manner, or tarnish her opponent’s reputation, unlike many of her supporters. Instead, she maintains composure, shows humility, and continues to demonstrate her leadership abilities.
“And as someone who values peace, Abeo was even looking forward to attending a peace meeting that CCII had earlier planned, until bogus rumours surfaced claiming that she had mobilized thugs to disrupt a nuptial ceremony that never happened and provided no evidence of her involvement in their fictitious story.
“It is easy to understand why Abeo’s opponent and her supporters are bitter because of Princess Abeo Nurudeen’s overwhelming support from all groups and sizable segments of market traders, as well as the fact that His Excellency, Seyi Makinde has decided to formally announce Abeo as authentic Iyaloja General of Oyo state as he believes in justice, equity, and fairness.
The statement demanded proof of the allegation and threatened to take legal action against the blogger for defaming Princess Abeo’s reputation. It also warned that failing to mention the thugs he claimed she sponsored would result in a full-blown legal action against him as police and other authorities have been informed about the development.
The media bureau reiterated that at no where a wedding was attended by Princess Abeo or her supporter in which they vowed to deal with monarchs in the state who stand with the decision of Seyi Makinde.
“Abeo Folashade is a princess, she is well trained and brought up from a royal family, she will never threaten traditional leaders let alone harassing them or throw away her decency, the statement said.
