BREAKING: Plane carrying Tinubu’s Minister, others catches fire in Ibadan 

A privately-owned aircraft carrying passengers, including Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power, narrowly escaped fatal accident that could have led to lost of souls when it skidded off track into the bush at the Ibadan Airport in Oyo State.

It was learnt that no fewer than 10 passengers were onboard of the aircraft as at the time of the incident

The aircraft was said to have caught fire, however, fortunately, there were no reported casualties following quick response of the State Fire Services, Federal Fire Services, and the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Fire Services.

MOUTHPIECE NGR gathered that the aircraft had departed from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja before the incident occurred.

The General Manager of the State Fire Service, Yemi Adeyimika, confirmed the incident on Saturday

He said: “Yes, it is true, Our men are on their way but I don’t have details now.

He said that his men arrived the scene of the incident

on time but met other fire services from other agencies on ground.

What could have resulted in monumental loss was timely averted”

He stated that his team was en route to the scene but did not have specific details at the time. Upon arrival, they found that other fire services from different agencies were already present.

Thanks to the combined efforts of these emergency services, a potential disaster was averted. No lives were lost, and the situation has been brought under control.”he added
