Oyo deputy gov, wife commiserate with KPU National president over wife’s death

The deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal has condoled with Kishi Progressive Union (KPU) National president, Chief Bayo Adesope Jp, the Agba Akin of Kishi, over the demise of his wife, Felicia Adedoyin on Friday in Ibadan.

Lawal, who paid a condolence visit on Saturday, in company of his wife, Chief (Mrs) Ajibike Lawal, expressed his sadness over the news of the passing of the Kishi born National president’s wife, describing it as sad and distressing.

He praised the deceased for her contributions to the development of Irepo local government especially during the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde.

He also advised the KPU National President and his immediate family to find comfort in the fact that the deceased left a good name behind.

“It is a very difficult moment but ultimately there is nothing we can do about it. We just have to take solace.

“We need to consider our responsibilities, and we hope that we will live long so that we may raise our children well. So, I pray you will be able to cope.

Lawal added that the wife would be very much missed by the family as the late Felicia was like twin to her husband, praying that God will give him long life and prosperity to enjoy the fruit of his labour.

“When I learnt that your beloved wife, Felicia, had passed away last Friday in UCH, Ibadan, I was incredibly saddened. Knowing how much you valued her as a wonderful partner and friend, our prayers are with you and your family during this trying time.

“Mrs. Felicia was a remarkable woman who made a significant contribution to Kishi, fought relentlessly for Governor Makinde’s reelection, and impacted the lives of many who knew her.

“She will be cherished for her kindness, compassion, and fear of God. May those memories and thoughts on her good deeds bring you and the family solace and peace. Kindly accept our sincere sympathies.”

Baba Adesope thanked the deputy governor and his wife for coming and said he had accepted his fate because it’s beyond human control.

“I am aware that God is both the giver and the taker. I’ve accepted my fate, too”, he added.
