VIDEO: Makinde, Lawal condole with Kunmi Mustapha over son’s death

Following the passing of his son, Alhaji Kumuni Mustopha and his family have received condolences from the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, and his deputy, Barrister Abdul-raheem Adebayo Lawal, describing the loss as painful. 

When paying him a visit at his house in Iseyin on Saturday with several government officials, Lawal presented him a letter of condolence and observed that his son passed away in his prime, when his services and knowledge were needed in the struggle to support his family.

On behalf of His Excellency, Seyi Makinde, he said: “I express my sincere sympathies to you, your family, and the wonderful people of Iseyin over the sudden demise of your son.

“I pray God bless you and your family with the fortitude to bear the loss and grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest.”

Alhaji Kununi Mustapha expressed his gratitude for their visit and stated that although what happened was out of human control, he was happy to have passed away as a practicing Muslim because he belonged to numerous Islamic organizations that shared his sympathies. 

He mentioned that the deceased was laid to rest yesterday and prayed to God to be with his family and give them the strength to cope with the irreplaceable loss.

In the entourage include Senator Gbenga Babalola; Special Adviser on Legislative matters, Hon. Adejumobi Agbarapo; SA on Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Abdul-Rasheed Abdul Azeez, as well as Makinde’s staunch supporter, Hon. Ayo Olopoenia, and host of others.
