2023: Ogbomoso South inaugurates Hon. Rotimi Oladipupo as DG campaign council, others 

AHEAD of the 2023 general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogbomoso South Local Government on Tuesday inaugurated Hon. Rotimi Oladipupo as the Director-General of the campaign council in the local government. 

Oladipupo, a staunch supporter of Hon. Segun Ebenezer Ogunwuyi, Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, is a well-known grassroots politician who has made significant contributions to the growth of Ogbomoso South in the past. 

MOUTHPIECE NGR understands that the campaign council’s inauguration is intended to help Governor Seyi Makinde win the upcoming general election in 2023.

Hon. Felix Akande, one of the leaders in Ogbomoso South, is also the PDP Director General Campaign Council Senatorial / House of Representatives Candidates in Ogbomoso Zone, said Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State, who was represented by Hon. Taiwo Akano, a member governing council Oyo state College of Agriculture & Technology (Polytechnic) Igbo Ora, during the inauguration of the campaign council at the legislative chambers of Ogbomoso South LG. 

He said Hon. Emmanuel Oladejo, former PDP Southwest Youth Leader and Rep. Of Elders forum, Mr. Olatubosun Adeyanju, as Rep. PDP ward chairman, Mr. Paul Oyebamiji, Rep. of Councilor’s forum, Mr. Tunji Adewole, Rep. of Supervisorie’s Councilor, Mr Ogunniran Oluseyi, Rep. of SA’s, Mr Orji Victor, Rep. Of Igbo’s Community, Alhaji Umaru Balls, Rep. of Hausa’s Community, Mr. Idowu Kehinde, Rep. of People with disabilities, Mr. Peter Adedamola, Youth Coordinator, Mrs Doyin Aworinde, Women Youth Coordinator, Mr. Adeniji Aderogba, Media and Publicity are members of the inaugurated campaign council.

Others included Apostle Olamoyegun Moses ( Party Chairman), Hon. Taiwo Alagbe, PDP State Organizing Secretary. Mrs Doja Agbejimi, PDP State Ex-Officio, Mrs. Toyin Olaniran, Member of Oyo State Tourism Board and PDP local women leader, Mr Bosun Bolade, PDP Party Secretary, Mr Ogunmola Taiwo Ogbomoso South PDP Youth Leader and Aremo Adbuljelil Bamidele Busari Secretary Ogbomoso South LG. and others.

Ogunwuyi emphasized that Ogbomoso South had a duty to work hard and relentlessly for Governor Seyi Makinde’s reelection and exhorted everyone on the campaign team to be committed to the task at hand.

According to him, “I know that our governor have already marketed and distinguished himself over the last 3 and half years in government, and I am confidence in the people that they would vote the party’s candidate overwhelmingly”.

However, in his remarks, the newly appointed Director General of the campaign council, Hon. Oladipupo, expressed his gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde and his Chief of Staff, Otunba Ogunwuyi, for the chance given to him for the onerous task, adding that he would do everything in his power to ensure that all PDP candidates in the upcoming general elections in 2023 are victorious. 

Oladipupo argued that the state’s governor, particularly in the Ogbomoso zone, had made commendable achievements that were sufficient to guarantee a resounding victory for all of the party’s candidates. 

He urged supporters to remain committed and vigorously support all of the party’s candidates.

Oladipupo also urged all party supporters to help the campaign team get results while urging the team members to be totally committed to the mission. 

In separate speeches, the former council chairs of Ogbomoso South Local Government, Hon. Taiwo Alagbe and Hon. Felix Akande, as well as the current chairman of Ogbomoso South, Hon. Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy, vowed to make sure that all PDP candidates win the upcoming general election.
