BREAKING: Court discharges acquits Ex-Gov Alao of 11.5bn fraud charges

Ten years after Otunba Dr Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala was dragged to court for a 11.5 billion naira fraud, the court of appeal sitting in Ibadan said the trial court was wrong to have asked the defendant/appellant enter appeal.

This was just as the court was said to have set aside all charges against him.

Mouthpiece NGR understands that the Ogbomoso-born politician, who was governor between 2007 and 2011, had been dragged to court shortly after leaving office over the alleged fraud.
