Rep. Oyekunle Partners NEMA To Distribute Food Palliatives To 12 Wards In Ibadan North

The federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, DoN, in partnership with the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has distributed food supplies to vulnerable residents across the 12 wards of the constituency.

The intervention was held at the Ibadan North Local Government Secretariat as part of efforts to cushion the impact of economic hardship on the people. It brought together residents, beneficiaries, community groups, party leaders, stakeholders and other critical groups within the constituency.

*‘Intervention Targets The Most Vulnerable’*

Speaking during the distribution exercise, Oyekunle said the initiative was to ensure that vulnerable residents benefit from the Federal Government’s food palliative programme aimed at reducing the burden of the prevailing economic challenges.

The lawmaker expressed appreciation to NEMA for making the intervention possible, describing the agency’s support as a significant step towards reaching those who need assistance the most.

He also thanked the people of Ibadan North for their continued support and goodwill, noting that the distribution coincided with the month he was overwhelmingly elected to represent the constituency.

*Call For Continued Support Ahead Of 2027*

Oyekunle appealed to his constituents to sustain their support and expressed confidence in their partnership ahead of the 2027 general elections. He also sought their support for the Allied Peoples Movement, APM.

The federal lawmaker further appreciated Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his consistent support and leadership. He assured that he would continue to operate within the framework of the governor’s developmental legacies and people-oriented leadership.

Food palliatives were distributed across all 12 wards of Ibadan North Federal Constituency to vulnerable residents, community groups, non-political organisations and other integral groups.

The event was attended by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Governor, Hon. Kazeem Adeyinka Adeniyi Bibire; lawmaker representing Ibadan North State Constituency II, Hon. Babajide Gabriel; lawmaker representing Ibadan North State Constituency I, Hon. Olufunke Comforter; and the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, who was represented by his Chief of Staff.

Also present were party leaders, political stakeholders, community representatives, party faithful and beneficiaries.
