Councillors, other political appointees rally behind Ogunlade for second term
Councilors and political appointees in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area, have unanimously endorsed the Executive Chairman, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, for a second term in office, expressing confidence in his leadership and commitment to sustaining the developmental strides recorded under his administration.
According to a report filed by Comrade Alade Toheeb, Media Assistant to the Executive Chairman, Ogbomoso North Local Government, the endorsement took place on Monday, June 15, during a strategic meeting hosted by the Executive Chairman at his office in Kinnira, Ogbomoso North Local Government Secretariat.
In attendance were councilors, supervisors, special assistants, the Chief of Staff, and other political office holders within the local government.
The endorsement was led by the Leader of the House, Hon. Popoola Olakunle, who spoke on behalf of the councilors and appointees.
He noted that the decision to endorse the chairman for another term was based on his outstanding performance, accessibility, commitment to grassroots development, and dedication to the welfare of the people.
According to him, stakeholders across the local government are fully prepared to support the continuation of the chairman’s developmental agenda through Ileri Oluwa 2.0 under the Omituntun 3.0 vision, aimed at consolidating existing achievements and delivering more dividends of democracy to residents of Ogbomoso North.
In his response, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade expressed appreciation to the councilors and appointees for the confidence reposed in him. He urged all stakeholders to remain committed to serving humanity, strengthening party unity, and extending love and support to party members and ward colleagues across the local government.
The chairman further stressed the importance of teamwork and collective responsibility in achieving sustainable growth and political success, assuring the gathering of his continued dedication to the development of Ogbomoso North.
The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge by the councilors and political appointees to work tirelessly for the success of Ileri Oluwa 2.0 under the Omituntun 3.0 agenda and to support the chairman’s vision for a more prosperous Ogbomoso North.
