Residents of Jericho Hill GRA and neighbouring estates have commended Governor Seyi Makinde for reconstructing the Frin-Aleshinloye Road in Ibadan, saying the project has improved access and aesthetics in the area.

In a letter of appreciation addressed to the governor, in which a copy was made available to MOUTHPIECE NGR on Thursday, the Jericho Hill GRA Residents’ Association said the road serves as the major access route to communities in Jericho, Aleshinloye, Idi-Ishin, and other adjoining areas.

“We say without any doubt that the decision to enhance our environment has greatly improved the aesthetics of the area,” the letter, signed by the association’s chairman, Venerable Adewale Sanda, stated.

The residents also commended the contractor, Quickborn Nigeria Limited, for professionalism during the project.

They noted that the firm’s team listened to complaints and worked to minimize disruption despite the road being the only major access to Aleshinloye, Jericho Hill GRA, Forest Hill Estate, and Jericho.

According to the letter, “The contractor’s team was always on hand to listen to our complaints and they ensured that the works were carried out with minimal inconveniences, for which we would like to officially commend their efforts despite initial challenges”.

The association pledged to cooperate with the state government on other projects to improve Oyo State.

“We will cooperate with the government in other areas requiring any attention that will improve our state,” Sanda said.

The letter was written on behalf of Jericho Hill GRA residents and other sister estates in Ibadan.

The Frin-Aleshinloye Road reconstruction is one of several road projects executed by the Makinde administration in Ibadan.
