Oyo LG Chairmen felicitates First Lady on birthday 

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Oyo State Chapter, has extended warm felicitations to the First Lady of Oyo State, Engr. Mrs. Olufunke Omini Makinde, on the occasion of her birthday anniversary, celebrating her remarkable contributions to humanity and her unwavering commitment to the welfare of women and children across the state.

In a press statement made available to journalists by its Public Relations Officer, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo, and signed by the Chairman of the Association, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, the body described the First Lady as an exceptional woman whose compassion, grace, and purposeful leadership have continued to leave lasting footprints in the lives of countless residents of Oyo State.

ALGON noted that Engr. Mrs. Makinde has remained an enigma and a shining example of selfless service, especially through initiatives and interventions that have strengthened support for women, promoted family values, and improved opportunities for children across communities in the state.

According to the statement, her role extends beyond that of a First Lady, describing her as a nurturing mother figure whose humility, dedication, and passion for societal development have earned her admiration and respect across all strata.

The Association further stated that her birthday anniversary presents another opportunity to blow her trumpet and celebrate her goodwill, outstanding accomplishments, and the positive impact she continues to make in advancing the wellbeing and empowerment of women and children.

“Today, we celebrate not just another year in the life of Her Excellency, but the values she represents, the hope she inspires, and the enduring legacy she continues to build through service and compassion,” the statement read.

ALGON Oyo prayed for continued strength, divine wisdom, sound health, and many more impactful years for the First Lady as she continues to support the vision of a prosperous and inclusive Oyo State.

The Association wished Engr. Mrs. Olufunke Omini Makinde a joyful birthday celebration and many more years of purposeful service to humanity.
