Our loyalty belongs to Gov. Makinde, can never be bought— Oyo Majority leader Adedoyin

The Oyo State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin, has strongly condemned recent clandestine move aimed at impeaching the governor of Oyo state and put the entire state in total chaos.

Speaking on behalf of the House on Tuesday, Adedoyin described the clandestine move as a calculated attempt designed to create unnecessary political tension in the state.

Adedoyin emphasized that the House’s loyalty lies with Governor Makinde and that no amount of money, intimidation, or cohesion can compromise this commitment.

The lawmaker urged political actors and the public to consider the clandestine move as a tame attempt to disrupt the peace of Oyo state and assured that such move will never see the light of the day.

Reiterating his personal loyalty to Governor Makinde, Adedoyin confirmed he had not been contacted or invited to any meeting regarding an impeachment plot and will never participate in such a scheme.

He highlighted that his integrity and commitment to Oyo State’s development far outweigh any financial gain.

Adedoyin equally categorically denied rumors of his participation in a high-level meeting in either Lagos or Ibadan allegedly hosted by Chief (Mrs.) Florence Ajimobi, with the involvement of the FIRS Chairman, Hon. Zaccheus Adedeji, to mobilize resources to influence the House.

The lawmaker clarified that he has never been part of any meeting with His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, Florence Ajimobi, or Zaccheus Adedeji to discuss the impeachment of Governor Seyi Makinde.

He expressed utmost respect for traditional institutions but stressed he is not party to any agenda that seeks to truncate the progress achieved under the current administration.

Adedoyin however reiterated the House loyalty to Governor Makinde, noting that the assembly is aligned with the Governor’s vision which has brought unprecedented development to the people of Oyo state.

He re-emphasize the commitment of the House to the governor of Oyo state that no such clandestine plan can ever see the light of the day under his leadership as the majority leader of the house.
