BREAKING: Amotekun arrests four at Aaje Ogbomoso over hard drugs

Four people were arrested on Saturday in Ogbomoso, Oyo state, by the South-West Nigeria Security Network, better known as the Amotekun Corps, for allegedly using hard narcotics in the Aaje neighbourhood.

According to an eyewitness, the suspects were arrested after the agency received an intelligent report in the early hours.

The source, who also confirmed that four suspects were arrested where they were taking hard drugs, added that the suspects were also caught with exhibits.

MOUTHPIECE NGR reliably gathered that the suspects had been taken into custody at the police area command office at Owode.

It should be recalled that the area (Aaje) recently experienced a problem after miscreants from another part of the town allegedly broke into the area to wreak havoc by robbing stores and setting them on fire.

The family home of Jacob Ajao Adejumo, a former Member of House of Representatives, Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Orire Federal Constituency, is one of the buildings that was vandalised.

The thugs’ suspected base of operations was however raided by police last week, and roughly 20 individuals were taken into custody.

In light of the situation, security personnel have stepped up their attempts to purge the town of criminal elements.
