Makinde’s Presidential Ambition Non-Negotiable – Wolekanle

The Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, has declared that Governor Seyi Makinde’s presidential ambition is non-negotiable, as the Convener of Boye Nation, Hon. Ajiboye Sangodade, reaffirmed his loyalty to the governor, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and its candidates.

Wolekanle made the declaration on Thursday during a visit to Sangodade, popularly known as Aji, at his Bodija residence in Ibadan.

The meeting provided an opportunity for Sangodade to dismiss speculations that he had dumped the APM, pledging instead to deploy his political network and grassroots support base towards the success of Governor Makinde, the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, and other APM candidates in the 2027 elections.

The visit attracted a large turnout of Boye Nation supporters, who gave the Chief of Staff a warm reception.

Addressing the gathering, Wolekanle expressed confidence in Governor Makinde’s leadership and commitment to people-oriented governance, urging the supporters to remain steadfast and intensify their collective efforts.

He stressed the importance of political unity, grassroots mobilisation and continuity in sustaining the developmental initiatives of the Makinde administration.

Sangodade, on his part, reiterated his commitment to the APM, dismissing rumours surrounding his political allegiance and assuring the party of his readiness to mobilise his supporters for the forthcoming elections.

He also expressed confidence in Adekanmbi’s governorship ambition and promised to work towards the success of all the party’s candidates.

The gathering further featured expressions of support for Wolekanle following his appointment as Chief of Staff to Governor Makinde.
