Omituntun 2.0: Makinde Has Affirmed His social Contract With Oyo Residents, Says Ally, Hon Rita Orji
An unrepentant ally of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Hon. Rita Orji, has disclosed that, against all odds, the governor has been able to affirm his social contract with the people of the state, which has earned him his second term tenure.
She spoke against the background of unprecedented achievements of the governor in his first tenure, which she opined, has put the state on the path to sustainable development.
Barrister Orji who is a former House of Representatives member pointed out that Makinde’s massive infrastructural transformation on roads, education, health, security and propmt payment of salaries in the last four years in office remains an unprecedented feat.
The Governor’s ally who just just returned from her two months vacation in the United States commended Seyi Makinde for renewing his social contract with the good people of Oyo State during his thanksgiving service for his second term.
Goal Poacher News quoted Makinde as saying:
“The work you have given to me is not from 2023 to 2027 because we will put Oyo State on the path to sustainable development between 2023 and 2027. But the work you have given to me is targeting 2027 and beyond.
“So, I am going to do my best in carrying the people of Oyo State along. We already have the roadmap for sustainable development.”
Hon Rita therefore called on the good people of the state to keep supporting the present administration particular on the sustainable traffic management in which different factions and stakeholders in the transport sector were brought under the umbrella of Park Management System (PMS) which other states will soon emulate.
