As part of his continuous philanthropic gesture since 5 years ago, the Oyo ex-Commissioner for Works and Transport, Prof. Abdulrahman Rapheal Afonja has deemed it fit to celebrate the victory of Governor Seyi Makinde with distribution of foodie Ramadan packages for indigent Muslims.
MOUTHPIECE NGR obtains that Afonja launched this ‘Thank you’ packages in a bid to appreciate electorates for re-electing Makinde on 18th March guber election.
According to him, over 100 bags of rice, and other foodie bags as relief packages would be distributed equitably among Muslims.
This humanitarian gesture by Afonja was aimed at providing succour, especially to the less privileged persons in the society in the holy month of Ramadan.
“As part of our efforts to appreciate our people for their overwhelming support in the just concluded gubernatorial election, we are providing this Ramadan relief packages for our Muslims fathers and mothers.
“As a person, I will continue to look for any opportunity, in a form of partnership, collaboration or cooperation with any development partner; institution or organisation ready to complement our efforts in improving the lives of the people”, he added.
