Adeojo Lights Up Ido LG Council, Orobiyi, Balogun Toriola Communities With Solar Light

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government area of Oyo State, Hon. Sheriff Adeyemi Adeojo, has installed solar street light at some strategic locations in the secretariat of the council.

In the same vein, at Orobiyi road in Ward 8, and Balogun Toriola in Ward 4, ten solar street lights were installed each for the communities as the entire residents expressed gratitude to Chairman of the Council for counting them worthy of such benefit.

According to a press statement personally signed on Friday and made available to journalists in Ibadan, Adeojo stated that the project will serve different purposes, ranging from illuminating the areas, reducing criminal activities and beautification of the spots which the lights have been erected.

He said: “At Orobiyi road in Ward 8, we installed 10 solar lights to power the community. Also, at Balogun Toriola in Ward 4, 10 solar street lights were installed, and the entire residents came out to appreciate what we have done, though I made them realize it is our duty to provide the infrastructure.

“The installation of the street light was facilitated to illuminate the secretariat of the council, which we believe is necessary. Also, it will enhance commercial activities in the communities which are beneficiaries of the project, especially at night and equally guarantee the security of lives and property.

“So, our people should continue to expect more dividend of democracy from our administration even as we proceed and hope that our governor will be reelected for second term.”

While urging other communities that are yet to get such benefit, Adeojo noted that they will be given due attention soon, admonishing the residents to make judicious use of the solar light and keep maintaining its safety.
