Tinubu’s high rating of Makinde clearly contradicts APC, Folarin’s criticism 

The Oyo state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that statements credited to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu during his courtesy call on Governor Seyi Makinde on Thursday afternoon reflect the true position of things politically, in the state.

This was as the ruling PDP also added that Tinubu’s commendations validate the good governance being enjoyed by the people of the state which on the other hand clearly contradicts the needless lies and false propaganda being championed by Senator Teslim Folarin and his Oyo APC apologists.

The Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Oyo state, Akeem Olatunji made this known in a press statement on Friday which was made available to journalists in Ibadan stressing that Tinubu’s commendations have sent a clear message that should perpetually silence Folarin and his followers.

The ruling party also stated that even though the Makinde led administration did not necessarily require confirmation of the good governance in the state  from any non resident to successfully win the 2023 election, it was however, very good and heartwarming to receive such confirmation of a job well done from Folarin’s political master, leader, and presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu, while expressing his satisfaction at Makinde’s sterling performance since assumption of office at a courtesy call to the governor at the executive chamber of the governor’s office also stated that Makinde has demonstrated the characteristics of a good leader.

Consequently the former two term Lagos state governor and APC standard-bearer in the February 25 presidential election described Makinde as humble, respectful and well behaved even as a sitting governor.

According to Olatunji, a student of political leadership as Folarin should never try to get ahead of his political leaders and masters who have laid the facts bare before his very eyes in his own state noting that “only a dog destined to be lost would refuse to follow the leading of its owner.

Olatunji maintained that the present political era in the state belongs to Makinde because the governor is daily winning more of masses’ love and affection to himself on grounds of the unwavering trust and confidence reposed in him due to his fulfilled promises without excuses leading to his adoption as the political project of the masses ahead of the coming general election.

“This press release is just to appreciate the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for not just coming to campaign in our pacesetter’state but also laid the truth and facts bare when he paid Governor Seyi Makinde a courtesy call.

“Asiwaju’s words of commendations and validation of good governance as well as extolling Governor Makinde’s genuine ‘omoluabi’s’ ethos validate what the good people of Oyo state are already aware of, and even though in the desperation of Oyo APC guber candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin, to become governor at all cost, leading to APC’s sustained attacks and sheer blackmail on the present administration, we hope they’ll refrain forthwith, from such journey into political perdition.

“Truly, Makinde’s wonders in terms of performance is too visible, glaring, and very physical that every class and category of persons in the society can comfortably enjoy. We therefore, urge APC in the state to take a cue from its overall leader and master, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and refrain from selling a bad market and counterfeited politician similar to serving a family meal with a soured plate of soup as a governorship candidate.”
