Bayo Lawal pays WAEC fee of orphans, sets to distribute exercise books in Kishi

The joy of parents and SS3 students in Nana As’mau Orphanage Group of Schools in Kishi, on Thursday, know no bounds as the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barr. Abdul-raheem Adebayo Lawal coughed up their payment of West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) fees.

MOUTHPIECE NGR understands that the pledge was made during celebration of 10th year anniversary of establishing the academic institution.

The Aare Bamofin of Kishiland who was represented by Irepo Coordinator, Seyi Makinde Campaign Council, Hon. Tunde Taoheed Olayiwola also promised the donation of exercise books for other indigents students in the school.

In his words, “This institution is our pride and we’ll always ensure our contributions for realization of its goals. I’ve pledged to bear the cost of SSCE fees for SS3 students in this school.

“In addition to that, we’ll make exercise books available for all students in a short while. Also, my doors are open should there be any need for help from us and my utmost goals is building on human capacity.”- He added.

While appreciating his gesture, the students heap praised Barr. Bayo Lawal on his efforts, as a stakeholder for the development of Kishi and Oyo State at large since his emergence as deputy governor.

The students had an interlude session where Aare Bamofin was commended and lauded for his impacts and tenacious capacity in Kishi land.

One of the board members of the school, Adeyemo Abdulateef thanked the deputy governor for his contributions towards the development of the school.

Other dignitaries in attendance include; Grand Chief Imam of Kishiland, Alhaji Soliu Omodababa; the NACOMYO; the Christian Women Wing and Muslim Teachers Association of Nigeria among others.
