Oriire LG boss, Olateju Michael begins distribution of 15,000 free exercise books, drugs to students

As part of efforts to improve the quality of education and give opportunities to students from all backgrounds, the Executive Chairman of Oriire Local Government, Hon. Michael Olateju has commenced the distribution of 60 leaves exercise books to all students across public schools.

Olateju, while making a symbolic presentation of the free exercise books to some students from selected secondary schools in the local government, including the distribution of drugs, the council boss reiterated his commitment to the development of educational sector in Oriire.

The event which was monitored by MOUTHPIECE NGR was held at the Council Legislative building on Thursday and had teachers and few of legislative members in attendance.

According to him, “In our ways of consolidating on the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde-led administration towards ensuring access to education is a necessity for common man, we have made provision for exercise books among other developmental projects in the sector.

“The distribution would be done in batches and virtually all students across Oriire LG would benefit from the initiative.

Some pupils who spoke to MOUTHPIECE NGR expressed their joy and prayed that God should bless Governor Seyi Makinde and the Council boss for reducing the burden of parents by providing the exercise books.
