Hakeem Lawal to deliver speech at WAYC’s Youth & Democracy Summit Jan 29

The 2019 Kwara State gubernatorial aspirant, Business morgue and Philanthropist, Alh. Hakeem Oladimeji Lawal will, on Saturday deliver a speech at the maiden edition of Youth and Democracy Summit.

According to a statement released by West Africa (ECOWAS) Youth Council to newsmen on Monday, the summit is scheduled for 29th January, 2022 at NBA Hall, High Court, Ilorin by 10:00am.

The Guest Speaker, Hakeem Lawal will deliver speech on the Theme; “Youth & Sustaining Democracy in Nigeria: Issues, Challenges and Way forward.

The Sub-Theme; Nigeria 2023: Roles of Youths in ensuring Free, Fair & Credible Elections has also been lined up to be addressed by lead discussants at the summit.

The convener of the summit, Amb. Ishola Rafiu had earlier disclosed that the summit will focus on proffering lasting solutions to the enduring democracy challenges faced by young Africans in the bid to sustain their capacity.

Other dignitaries expected are Special Guest of Honour, AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq, Kwara State Governor; Chairman of the Occasion, Prof Mahmud Yakubu, INEC; Keynote Speaker, IGP Alkali Baba Usman
