The Park Management System has described the statement of Mr Sunday Igboho on the recent pandemonium in Soka as unfounded allegation in its entirety.
Recall Mouthpiece NGR had on Thursday reported how violent clash on Monday broke out between members of park managers and Sunday Adeyemon a.k.a. Sunday Igboho at Soka area, Ibadan.
Mr Sunday in a statement on Friday debunked the story published by this medium— saying it was Auxiliary himself that came to Soka, Ibadan the capital of Oyo State where his cronies were dealing brutally with commercial motorcyclists who failed to comply with payment of normal daily dues.
However, in a swift reaction, the Park Management System while reacting to the issue described Mr Sunday Igboho’s statement as unfounded defense and blatant lies being peddled on social media.
The statement reads in part: “Our attention has been drawn to a supposed unfounded defense and blatant lies from the Mr Sunday Adeyemo Igboho in circulation on social media accusing us of the pandemonium and civil unrest he caused at Soka area this week.

“It is noteworthy to say that his assertions that he was not at scene of peace- violence were said to be untrue by all commercial vendors at Soka to extent of making reference to gunshots.
“For the record, we wish to state that we do not instigate trouble, it was the spate of Igboho’s highhandedness and extortion that made the Acomoran people, okada riders and drivers to say no to illegal collection.”
“On the contrary, available records, show that Igboho has consistently troubled people of his locality with his cronies demanding “omo-onile money”, such as borehole drilling commission, roofing of new house, concrete decking of a house and shops, among other illegal disturbing dues from innocent and helpless residents.”
“We are dismayed by such underhanded tactics aimed at pitching us against our esteemed good people of Oyo State and beyond. We are however unwavering in our resolve to continue to serve our drivers as efficiently as is expected of us going by the dictates of the people’s governor, Engr Seyi Makinde and OYRTMA and other traffic agencies.”
“Also, a pictorial fallacy of Auxiliary directing the erring drivers who parked illegally at Iwo Road with stick point at them is maligning. The picture has nothing to do with Soka issue at all.”
Residents and drivers who pleaded anonymity who are very close to “OMOOLE” the formal chairman of Soka NURTW unit installed by Igboho confirmed from him that his post as chairman was like “Oko idi ope” meaning that 75 percent of the money generated in the garage was usually collected as royalty by Sunday Igboho, “the statement added.
