Just In: Mammoth crowd at Akala’s Xmass Carol (photos)
The yearly event (Xmass Carol) at the “country home” of the former governor of Oyo state, Chief Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala on Friday, captured a mammoth crowd— including dignitaries across the 5- local government in Ogbomoso.
House of Representative member, Honorable Captain Ajao, representing Ogbomoso North, South, Orire federal constituency, and Honorable Wumi Oladeji representing Ogbomoso North state constituency were present at the event.
In his speech, Chief Adebayo Alao Akala expressed his deep appreciation to everyone and prayed God to spare everyone’s life till 2020.
Expressing satisfaction about the spiritual lessons and blessings the service annually offers each and everyone, Akala maintained that the event has broken denominational barriers and forested unity in the body of Christ in Ogbomoso.
“This year, we decided to bring our children on board. For the past eleven years, a host of these children have been coming to observe what we do. In this 12th edition, they also came to spice up the celebration.
“ I can imagine how happy they are today. If you ask me, the experiences I had and the songs I learnt while growing up as a young boy in the choir are still fresh in my heart till date.”
Among others at the event includes LAUTECH VC, Professor Ologunde, the school registrar, Royal and spiritual fathers, Ogbomoso North former chairman, Mr Olamijuwonlo Akala, LAUTECH former SUG president, Mr Actor, Mr Tfat, to mention but few.
