OYSROMA Chairman, Busoye Ogunlade, Thanks Gov Makinde, Co-Pilot, Others For Celebrating Father At 85 In Oyo Town

The Chairman, Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency (OYSROMA), Hon. Busoye Ogunlade, has expressed profound gratitude to the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Deputy Governor, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, and other dignitaries who honoured his father on the occasion of his 85th birthday celebration in Oyo town.

The octogenarian, Pa Sunday Ogunlade, was celebrated on Saturday in a colourful ceremony at his residence that attracted top government functionaries, political leaders, traditional rulers, family members, friends and well-wishers from within and outside Oyo State.

Busoye Ogunlade, in an appreciation message made available to newsmen on Saturday, said he was overwhelmed by the show of love, support and presence of eminent personalities who took time out of their busy schedules to celebrate his father.

He particularly thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for his support and kind gesture, and Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal who was physically present at the event to honour the family despite his tight schedule.

According to him, the presence of the Deputy Governor and other top government officials at the birthday celebration was a demonstration of the value the Makinde-led administration places on elders and family values.

“So, on behalf of the entire Ogunlade family, I want to sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, our amiable Governor, for his constant support and love for our family.

“I also want to specially thank my father, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal, for honouring us with his presence at my father’s 85th birthday celebration in Oyo town. Your presence meant so much to us and added colour to the occasion,” he said.

Ogunlade further appreciated members of the State Executive Council, Chairmen of boards and parastatals, party leaders, associates, and friends, as well as allies of Governor Makinde who graced the occasion or sent goodwill messages.

He described his father as a disciplinarian, a lover of people and a community leader whose life of service, sacrifice and commitment to the development of the youth remains worthy of emulation.

He, however, prayed that God would grant his father many more years in good health, sound mind and abundant grace to continue to offer wise counsel to the younger generation.
