Hon. Lydia Bankole Appreciates Gov. Makinde Over Appointment As Member, Advisory Council
Hon. Lydia Bankole, the Political Head/Administrator of Oriire South Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has extended heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for appointing her as a member of the Oyo State Advisory Council chaired by legal luminary, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN.
In a statement made available to MOUTHPIECE NGR on Friday, Hon. Bankole described the appointment as a great honour and a call to greater service, noting that it reflects Governor Makinde’s commitment to inclusive governance, grassroots development, and women empowerment.
While expressing gratitude to Governor Makinde for finding her worthy of serving on the prestigious council, Hon. Bankole pledged to bring her wealth of experience in grassroots administration and community development to bear in advising the government on policies and programmes that will enhance sustainable development across the state.
Her words: “I am deeply honoured and humbled by this appointment. I want to sincerely thank His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for the confidence reposed in me. This is not just an appointment, but a challenge to contribute more to the Omituntun 2.0 agenda and the overall development of our dear state”.
While reaffirming her loyalty to the Makinde-led administration, she prayed for more wisdom and strength for the Governor to continue delivering good governance to the people of Oyo State.
She also reaffirmed her loyalty to Governor Makinde’s visionary leadership and urged everyone to support his presidential ambition ahead of the forthcoming 2027 election.
