Police Declare Two Men Wanted Over Alleged Murder Of Dubai Returnee In Lagos
The Nigeria Police Force has declared two men, *Ajibola Obateru* and *Folawiyo Balogun Alagbado*, wanted in connection with the alleged conspiracy and murder of *26-year-old Chukwunyere Esther Chinaza.*
The Dubai-based beauty entrepreneur was allegedly lured to Nigeria by the two men, after which she went missing. Police allege they made away with her body and stole her personal belongings.
The incident was said to have occurred at the *Shoreline axis of Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos.*
Following her disappearance, Chinaza’s family declared her missing after they were unable to establish her whereabouts.
Police said she was last seen on *June 22, 2026*, after returning from Dubai with a male friend.
Chinaza, of Igbo extraction, was 26 years old, fair-skinned, of tall/average height, and ran a beauty business. She goes by the Instagram handle *@pretty_nazee*. Her last post was on *June 21*, a day before she went missing.
Her last known address was listed as *Horizon Estate, Ikate, Lagos State.*
On *Wednesday, August 13, 2026*, the Police issued a Special Police Gazette Bulletin declaring Obateru and Alagbado wanted.
Obateru is described as a *33-year-old Yoruba man*, about *5.9ft tall*, thin, fair-skinned, with an oval face. His last known address is *Ajoda New Town, Ibadan, Oyo State.*
The bulletin also declared Alagbado wanted over the same case. Police allege that Alagbado conspired with others to attack Chinaza, killed her, moved her body to an unknown location, and took her belongings.
The circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain under investigation.
A brother of the deceased said the family grew concerned after she vanished and that preliminary investigations allegedly linked some individuals to the incident.
“My sister’s name is Chukwunyere Esther Chinaza from Imo State. The guy lured my sister from Dubai to Lagos on June 18. From June 21, she has been missing till now.
“We have not seen her or her body. The family later discovered that one of the men allegedly connected to the incident reported himself at Panti police station,” he said.
According to the brother, the man initially told police and family members that he was attacked by his friends. The family, however, said it was dissatisfied with the explanations given.
“We are not relying only on the Police. It’s getting too much. Nothing has been done. No arrest, nothing about those two guys. Our major concern is locating Chinaza — to retrieve her body or to see her alive. That is the problem,” he added.
The Police have urged members of the public with information on Chinaza’s whereabouts or the wanted suspects to contact *SCID, Panti*, or the nearest police station.
