Engr. Toheeb Mourns Alhaji Wahab Olayiwola Surulagba, Says Akinyele Has Lost a Pillar

The All Peoples Movement, APM, House of Representatives candidate for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Engr. Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT, has mourned the passing of foremost community and religious leader, Alhaji Wahab Olayiwola Surulagba.

Alhaji Surulagba reportedly died overnight at an advanced age.

In a condolence statement on Tuesday, Engr. Toheeb described the death as a painful loss to the immediate family of the deceased, the people of Akinyele Local Government and Oyo State at large.

According to him, the late Surulagba was more than a community leader. He described him as an elder whose life was marked by service, wisdom, faith and commitment to the wellbeing of the people.

“Alhaji Wahab Olayiwola Surulagba was a father, an elder and a man whose life was deeply connected to the progress of his people. His death is a great loss to Akinyele and Oyo State,” Toheeb said.

The APM candidate noted that the deceased’s contributions to the religious and community life of Akinyele would remain part of his enduring legacy.

He added that elders like Surulagba played a vital role in preserving community values, counselling younger generations and promoting peace and unity.

*‘His Wisdom Will Be Deeply Missed’*

Toheeb said while death is inevitable, the passing of a respected elder at a time when his guidance was still needed would be deeply felt by all who benefited from his counsel.

He extended his condolences to the family of the deceased, the Muslim community, traditional and community leaders, and all those mourning the late elder.

The lawmaker prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, reward his good deeds and grant him eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah give his family and the people of Akinyele the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen,” he prayed.

The late Alhaji Wahab Olayiwola Surulagba will be remembered for his years of service and his contributions to the religious and social development of Akinyele and Oyo State.
